PURPOSE

Emama Nguda Aboriginal Corporation was formed in 1994 for the purpose of improving the living conditions and quality of life of its Aboriginal members by providing vital resources and services. Emama Nguda will be a dynamic organisation and will identify the needs of its members as they arise and change over time.
Emama Nguda has a commercial arm ‘Lalgardi Enterprises’ which was established in 2013. Lalgardi employs 90% Aboriginal staff who successfully deliver gardening, commercial cleaning and housing maintenance services.

- To provide services, programs and an understanding for the relief of unemployed Aboriginal people and to address poverty experienced by individuals, families or communities.
- To train and employ Aboriginal people of the region.
- To establish equality with traditional values – giving, sharing, caring, self-determination, development, self-sufficiency, self-esteem, self-empowerment, reconciliation and two-way learning

- To help build trust and friendship between members and other people.
- To receive and spend grants of money from the government of the Commonwealth or the State or from other sources, and to be accountable to funding bodies and members for the use of these funds.
